Saab PhoeniX Android-Based Media Interface

A recent Nielson study found the smartphone market split evenly between Android-based systems, iOS devices, and RIM handhelds. Of the nearly 15,000 people polled by Nielson, 29 per cent said they used an Android phone, with 27 per cent each reporting that they preferred their iPhone or BlackBerry. Saab iQon Unveiled at Geneva

Saab, the tiny Swedish auto maker is playing with the big kids when it comes to in-car infotainment systems. Saab used the 2011 Geneva Auto Show to unveil its upcoming infotainment system dubbed – iQon. The company says iQon is its effort to create a future where the car effortlessly unites with your life. Although Saabs in-car system takes a novel approach to the connected car,  iQon looks suspiciously similar to MyLink, the in-car electronics system from Saab majority owner General Motors.
