Concept Cars
Toyota demonstrated a futuristic car today that looks like a giant smartphone on wheels, complete with touch-screen body. The company’s president unveiled the experimental concept car, dubbed Fun-Vii, at a press event just before the Tokyo Auto Show. The car is intended to demonstrate Toyota’s effort to lead the way in connected car technology by giving a different take on exterior design possibilities.
A recent Nielson study found the smartphone market split evenly between Android-based systems, iOS devices, and RIM handhelds. Of the nearly 15,000 people polled by Nielson, 29 per cent said they used an Android phone, with 27 per cent each reporting that they preferred their iPhone or BlackBerry.
